Philip
Pickersgill
Managing Director
Phillip started Banksia Scientific as managing director in 1980 and has
been in the industry for a very long time, longer than we care to
mention. Philip's areas of interest include pathology and medical
sciences.
We are constantly trying to get him to retire but so far with no
success. You get that with owners of companies, they just want to do
their own thing. This year he turns 70 years old and
there is still plenty of puff left in him.
Philip spends his spare time with Rotary and following his passion for
the arts and his dog Harry. |

Stephen
Edwards
CEO
Stephen started at Banksia Scientific in April of 1985 having spent 8
years working for Dr's Sullivan and Nicolaides the Pathologists.
In 1989 he took over the reins as the General Manager having completed
management studies. Having spent considerable time in New Zealand
over the past 3-4 years Stephen has set up a house in Auckland
where he hopes one day soon to reside on a more permanent basis.
Stephen has taken a considerable interest in eating Te Matuku oysters
and drinking copious amounts of New Zealand wines. A father of
two boys,
Tim who is now in customer service and Tristan who uses 5 computers at
once, he also enjoys collecting wine, art and spending time with good
friends. |

Daniel
Cosgrove
Business Development Manager
Danny started in retail scientific sales in 1985 and joined Banksia in
1991. Married with two children he likes spending his time renovating
houses and being the sensitive new age guy.
His special areas of interest include sample preparation, collection,
purification, high purity solvents and acids, electronics and repairs.
Banksia Scientific has over the past 28 years helped supply the needs
and requirements of the scientific and medical community. We can help
with all disposables and most other items used in the laboratory by our
clients. |

Cyrus
Boomla
NSW and ACT Sales Manager
Joined in mid-2005 and quickly established a professional rapport with
customers and take-away restaurants alike.
Having been in the diagnostic arena as a technician or salesman for
many years both here and abroad, Cyrus brings a wealth of knowledge and
experience to Banksia that has enabled him to build a very healthy
customer base in his territory.
A great fan of all things relating to Bollywood, especially Indian
ballroom dancing, disco music and of course food, he is a true mine of
information in this field and an active participant in all these
activities. |

Donna
Rowlands
New Zealand Sales Manager
Donna has recently joined Banksia having worked in sales for various
medical diagnostics companies in NZ since leaving the lab in
1995.
Based in Auckland, Donna has
developed good customer relationships throughout New Zealand and looks
forward to cementing these relationships and establishing new ones
within her role with Banksia. With a strong customer focus, she will be
happy to assist you.
Donna’s interests include keeping fit through swimming, cycling and
running, and she has a keen interest in properties. |

Account Manager
I have been at Banksia since 1993. I started my working career as the
receptionist fresh from high school and am now a valued member of our
professional sales team.
Obviously by my lengthy stay here with the company it is evident that
we all have a great time at work and enjoy each others company. Not
many people I know can say the same! |

Accounts
Joined banksia May 2000 work in accounts department. Born in Newcastle
England so have a really warped sense of humour.
Emigrated to Australia 1998, Enjoy holidays, socialising reading and
spending time with my husband and children. |
